There’s a lot of great stuff up but I’ve been hunting for lessons that can reach all students, even those who aren’t interested or knowledgeable about football and, most importantly for my teaching situation, one-time lesson plans that fit into an hour or 90 minutes, because I teach a lot of groups only once a week.

Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me is my absolute favorite radio show that here in Kazakhstan I can only get on podcast. It’s a pseudo-game show that really just makes fun of the week’s news. It’s great practice for language learners because it’s funny and entertaining so you want to try to understand.
One of the recent episodes mentioned some quotes from members of …Continue

A review of some commonly used sports slang and idioms in English. It’s particularly useful for students to learn this stuff because Americans tend to reference a lot of American sports like baseball and football in our slang.
